Hello and welcome to the
La Esperanza Baking Company 's
family blog.
My older brother,
Matthew,
is a graduate of the
CIA.
He's a baker at
La Esperanza ...
a part of the latest baking generation.
Our 87 year old grandfather, Heriberto Santos is
the owner and founder of
La Esperanza Baking Co. Inc.
But, he was the SECOND generation
of bakers in this family.
Our father's grandfather,
Brigido Dominguez was the first:
That's him in front of the first truck.
OUR grandfather is the young boy on the right.
They kept that original bakery going until the 60's,
but our grandfather eventually forged out on his own ...
and......
In 1949
La Esperanza
opened.
I'll be updating and adding to the blog regularly
with recipes and lots of anecdotal stories!
